Kdl Hair Cutting Salon is over in the Paikpara area. You can find us on Raja Manindra Road. It is a decent neighborhood with a lot of families. The shop itself is tucked away and isn't very large. We have been here for quite some time now. When you walk in, you’ll see the three chairs we use. They are old-fashioned but comfortable enough. We don't have any fancy music playing, just the sound of the radio sometimes or the noise from the street outside. I started this because I learned the trade from my uncle. We just focus on giving a clean cut. Nothing complicated. Most of our customers are regulars who live just a few blocks away. They come in every month like clockwork. We know exactly how they like their hair done without them even asking. The shop gets a lot of sunlight in the mornings. We spend a lot of time cleaning the combs and making sure the razors are ready. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the manual clippers, which reminds me of how things used to be. It’s a quiet life here in Paikpara. We don't try to be anything we are not. Just a place to get your hair cut and maybe hear some local gossip while you wait your turn.
