Anu'S Boutique

Anu's Boutique is a little shop we have over in Kazipara, right near Nager Bazar. It’s a lively part of town, and we’ve been here long enough to see the streets change quite a bit. Inside the boutique, it’s mostly just rows of fabric and clothes we’ve been working on. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us who like sewing and putting things together. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many rolls of cloth and different threads everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s not a polished store like you’d see in a big mall. We have our old sewing machines and a mirror that’s seen better days, but it’s ours. People from the neighborhood come in to get things fixed or to find something new to wear for a wedding or a party. We spend a lot of time chatting with whoever comes in, usually over a cup of tea. It’s a slow kind of business where you have to pay attention to the details. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when it’s busy season, but we always catch up eventually. Nager Bazar is a great place to be because there is always something happening outside the door. We just keep our heads down and keep working on the next piece of clothing. Our scissors are always going missing under piles of fabric, which can be frustrating, but we manage.
