You can find Kanodia Tools & Hardware Store up on the first floor of Raja Katra, number 113A. We are right by Manohar Dass Chowk in the middle of Burrabazar. If you’ve ever been to Burrabazar, you know it’s a bit of a squeeze getting around, but that’s where all the action is. Our shop is one of many in this old building. We carry a whole range of tools and hardware items that we’ve gathered over the years. It’s not the easiest place to find if it’s your first time, but once you know the way up the stairs, it’s easy enough. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor. The walls are mostly covered in shelves and boxes. It’s a working shop, not a showroom. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and helping out the regulars who know we’re here. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people want different things at once, but we manage to sort it out. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a local business run by people who know their tools. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the decades, but the need for good hardware stays the same. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, right here in the heart of the bazaar. It is a lot of climbing stairs, but it keeps us fit.
