Joy Honuman Salon

Joy Honuman Salon is located at 105, Ultadanga Main Road. It’s a busy part of town, and our shop is right in the middle of it all. We have a small space here, but it's enough for what we do. There are usually two or three of us working at the same time. We have the standard tools, nothing too modern. The chairs are old but they still work fine. Most of our regulars are men from the nearby houses who want a simple haircut or a shave. We don't have any fancy posters on the walls, just a small calendar and a picture of the gods. The floor is often covered in bits of hair because we stay busy throughout the day. We try to sweep up when it gets too much. The noise from the Ultadanga Main Road never really stops, so there is always a background of horns and people shouting. It’s a friendly place, though. We know most people who walk through the door. Sometimes someone will stop by just to say hello even if they don't need a haircut. We open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It's a straightforward business. We don't make things complicated for our customers. You come in, get your hair cut, pay the usual rate, and you are on your way. That’s how we’ve always done it. No fuss.
