Jay Baba Loknath Gents Saloon

This is Jay Baba Loknath Gents Saloon. We are on the ground floor on Baguihati Road. It is very close to the Baguihati Bazaar in Kolkata. If you know the bazaar then you know how busy it gets. There are people everywhere and a lot of noise from the vendors. Our shop is a place where men can come in and sit for a while. It is a simple setup with a few chairs. We have a picture of Loknath Baba on the wall. I always light some incense in the morning before we start our work. The smell stays in the shop all day long. We get a lot of workers from the bazaar who come in for a quick shave. They are always in a rush to get back to their stalls and sell things. The floor gets dirty with all the mud from the street especially when it rains. I try to keep it clean but it is hard. The fans hum along and we just keep working. It gets very hot in the afternoons here. We share a lot of stories about the city and the local football matches. Baguihati is a good place to be even if it is crowded. We have been in this ground floor spot for years now. People know us as the place near the market. We don't need anything fancy to do a good job. It is just a regular life here.
