Jalan Exports

We’ve been at 214/16 on Lower Circular Road for quite some time now. Jalan Exports isn't a huge place, just a regular office where we handle all the paperwork for the things we ship out. Most days it’s just us sitting here, checking the orders and making sure the boxes get where they need to go. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons, but you get used to it after a few years. People sometimes stop by asking directions because this part of the road is always busy. We don’t really have a big sign or anything fancy. It’s mostly just hard work and a lot of phone calls to suppliers. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to wait around, but that’s just how it is. We deal with all sorts of items, mostly whatever our clients are looking for at the moment. It’s a lot of back and forth with the docks and the trucks. My desk is usually covered in papers and empty tea cups by the end of the day. We try to stay organized, but when three shipments arrive at once, it gets a bit messy in here. We’ve known the neighbors for ages, and we usually grab lunch from the small stall around the corner. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We just focus on getting the work done and heading home to our families in the evening.
