Jain Marble Centre

Jain Marble Centre is located at No. 8/2, B.B.D. Bag (East). This is an old part of the city, and the buildings around here have a lot of history. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a bit of a tight spot, like most places in this area, but we make it work. We have all kinds of marble pieces tucked into the corners. People come in off the street all day long because it's such a busy neighborhood. You can hear the trams and the cars constantly outside. It’s not the quietest place to work, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s just a regular shop floor with stone stacked against the walls. We spend time cleaning the dust off the surfaces so people can see the colors properly. Most of the guys working here have been around for years. We know where every slab is kept without having to look at a list. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just sell marble to whoever needs it for their home or office. Dealing with the narrow streets for deliveries is probably the hardest part of the job. But we’ve been at B.B.D. Bag long enough to know the shortcuts. It's just a local business doing its thing every day and night.
