Running an export business like J. K. H. Export out of Vashi means you’re always around some kind of action. We are located right in the middle of the APMC Market 1, Phase 2. If you know Sector 19, you know how crowded it gets with trucks and people moving crates at all hours. Our unit, B-62, is where we handle all the sorting and paperwork. It’s a lot of back and forth with the shipping agents and making sure the containers are ready. We deal with various goods that need to go out, so there’s always a bit of a rush to meet the deadlines. The market can be a bit chaotic, especially in the mornings when everything is arriving at once. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know most of the other traders around here. It isn’t a quiet office job by any means. There is usually someone shouting or a horn honking right outside. We keep our space organized as much as possible, though the paperwork does tend to pile up on the desks during the busy season. It’s just how the export trade works in a place like this. We don’t really have a big corporate setup, just a small group of us trying to keep the flow moving so the goods reach where they need to go without too much trouble. It is hard work but we are used to the pace of the market.
