Ispat Cooperative Hospital

Ispat Cooperative Hospital is located in Kalikapur, which is under the Sonarpur Police Station in South 24-Parganas. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the main city, but for the people in the village and the P.O. area, we are the local medical hub. Being a cooperative hospital means things are run a bit differently. It is more of a community effort. The surroundings are much quieter than a city hospital, with more greenery around Kalikapur. We deal with all sorts of medical needs for the local families. The building is older and has that lived-in feel. We do not have fancy glass walls or air-conditioned lobbies that look like hotels. It is a practical place for people who need help. The staff often knows the patients by their first names because everyone lives nearby. We spend our days managing the wards and talking to the relatives who wait outside. Sometimes the local roads get a bit muddy during the monsoon, making it harder for people to reach us, but we stay open regardless. Sonarpur is a growing area, but it still has that rural touch. We are just here to provide a place for people to get checked out when they are feeling unwell. It is a modest operation, and we do not try to pretend it is anything else. We are just the local cooperative hospital for this part of South 24-Parganas.
