International Cane Industries

Our workshop is located at 109, Netaji Subhas Road. It's an older building, but it works perfectly for what we do at International Cane Industries. We work with cane and similar materials every single day. The space is often filled with stacks of raw cane waiting to be processed into something useful. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. You won’t find any sleek offices here, just a lot of workbenches, saws, and handheld tools. We spend a lot of time cutting, bending, and shaping things by hand. The air usually smells a bit like wood and dust, which we have gotten used to. It’s a small team, and most of us have been doing this for a long time. Netaji Subhas Road is a busy street, so there's always the sound of traffic and horns outside our door. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives and we have to find a place for every bundle. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or promotion. Most of our work comes from people who know where we are and what we can do with cane products. It's a traditional craft in many ways, even if we use some modern tools now. We just try to make things that last for the people who buy them. It's not a fast-paced corporate life, just steady work that keeps us going every day.
