Hardware & Pneumatics

Our place is at 30 Strand Road, and we’ve been here for a long time. Hardware & Pneumatics is the name on the front, though it's a bit faded and the letters are peeling a little. Strand Road is always noisy, with the trucks and all the commercial activity, so you get used to the sound of traffic while you're working. We deal with hardware parts and a lot of pneumatic things, mostly valves and hoses that use air pressure. It’s a lot of metal and rubber sitting around on the racks. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if I ever got around to it. Usually, I’m just too busy counting bolts or checking on the pneumatic fittings to worry about how the place looks. People come in looking for something specific for their machines, and half the time we’re digging through a box in the back to find the right size. It’s a messy job sometimes, getting grease on your hands or dust on your clothes, but that’s just how it goes in a shop like this. We don’t have a fancy website, just the shop at number 30. Sometimes it feels like time stands still inside while the world outside on Strand Road moves way too fast. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, making sure the shelves are full and the customers find what they need for their repairs. It's a living.
