Habibsha Style Saloon

Habibsha Style Saloon is located at 322C, Chittaranjan Avenue. This is a very busy part of Kolkata, right near the Girish Park Metro station. Because of the metro, there are always people rushing past our windows. Some are in a hurry to get to the office, while others are just wandering around Beadon Street. The shop is a bit long and narrow. We have mirrors lined up on one side and a row of chairs facing them. It can get pretty loud inside when the traffic on Chittaranjan Avenue is at its peak. We have a small television in the corner that is usually tuned to a news channel or a movie. The floor is a bit worn down from all the footsteps over the years. We use a lot of different sprays and creams, so the air usually smells like a mix of lavender and lemon. It is a lively place to work. We see all kinds of people, from young students to older gentlemen who have lived in Beadon Street their whole lives. We don't have any fancy uniforms, just our regular clothes. We do our best to keep the place organized, though the combs and clips always seem to go missing right when you need them. It is just a normal saloon where we try to give everyone a fair deal and a clean cut.
