We've been at Shop No 5 & 6 in the Shreeramnagar Complex for a while now. If you know VIP Road, you probably know where Haldiram is. We are right across from it, next to the Apollo Pharmacy. Being so close to the Kolkata Airport means things stay busy around here. People are always rushing to catch flights or coming back from trips. We open up the shop every morning and check the chairs and mirrors. It gets quite loud outside with all the traffic on the main road, but inside it stays okay. Sometimes customers stop by after picking up medicines next door or grabbing a snack at Haldiram. Our space isn't huge, but we make sure every corner is tidy. We use the same tools every day and talk to the regulars who live in the apartments nearby. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. The airport area has changed a lot since we started, with more cars and people everywhere. Most days we are just busy keeping up with whoever walks through the door. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor, just simple stuff that works. We mostly focus on our work and making sure the floor is swept between jobs. It is just a normal local shop where we know many of the faces. Sometimes the humidity in Kolkata makes the glass windows foggy, so we have to wipe them down often to see the road clearly. It’s hard work but we just keep going day by day here at Habibs Hair & Beauty.
