Green Apple Leather Design

You can find us over at No. 45 A Shamsul Huda Road. We also have a spot at No. 76 Topsia Road South, which is just how it worked out with the space. Topsia is the kind of place where everyone is doing something with leather. We have a small workshop where we put designs together. It isn't a massive factory with thousands of employees or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us sitting at benches with knives and needles. The smell of the hides is pretty strong when you first walk in, but we don't even notice it anymore. There are scraps of leather all over the floor by the time we finish up in the evening. We do the cutting and the stitching right there in the room. The lighting isn't the best in the world, but we have some lamps over the work tables. Outside, the street is always packed with rickshaws and people carrying bundles of goods. It’s a loud area. We don't have a showroom with glass cases. If someone wants to see what we are making, they just come into the back and look at the tables. We use old machines that still work fine. Sometimes we have to wait for materials to arrive from the market, so things get a bit slow. But mostly we just stay busy with the tools in our hands.
