Gorgeous Nails

So, Gorgeous Nails is located right on Taratala Road in New Alipur. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you know where the SBI Bank is. We are basically just a few steps away from there. The street outside is always noisy with buses and people rushing to work. Inside, it’s a bit quieter though. We spend our days mostly looking at hands and feet. It sounds like a strange way to make a living when you say it out loud, but it’s what we do. We have these little bottles of color everywhere and the smell of polish remover is just part of the air here. It’s 73/B, a simple space with enough room for a couple of people to sit. Sometimes the fans don't feel like they're doing enough in this Kolkata humidity, but we manage. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just sit, talk a bit with whoever is in the chair, and get the job done. New Alipur is a decent neighborhood for a business like this. People are usually in a hurry, stopping by after the bank or on their way home. We don’t have any big speeches about why we are here. We just like making things look a bit neater. It's just a job, really, but we try to do it right every day. It is what it is, a place to get your nails done without any extra drama.
