Glow You Saloon

Glow You Saloon is located at number 5 Ariff Road, which is right in the Ultadanga area. If you know where Muchi Bazar is, then you know exactly where we are because we are very close to it. Being in the 700067 part of Kolkata means there is always something going on outside our door. The street is usually full of people buying vegetables or heading to the shops. Our saloon is not very large, but we have enough room for the basic equipment. We do hair and skin work for anyone who comes in. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone has a day off. We have a couple of chairs and some shelves where we keep the lotions and shampoos. I’ve worked at Ariff Road for quite a few years and I’ve seen the shops around us change owners many times. We are still here, though. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but with so many people coming in from the dusty street, it is a constant job. It’s a plain, practical place for local folks. No one comes here expecting a spa treatment, they just want to look a bit better before a wedding or a party. We just do what we can with what we've got in this little corner of Ultadanga.
