Globe Salon

Globe Salon is tucked away on South Sinthee Road in Kolkata. The exact address is 91/3A if you are looking for the building. It is mostly a residential neighborhood around here, so we get a lot of customers who live just a few blocks away. We have been operating from this spot for several years now. The shop is small and there is just enough room for a few people to wait their turn. We put a wooden bench by the window for that. It is actually a good place to sit and watch the world go by while you wait for your appointment. Our scissors and combs are kept in that blue liquid to keep them clean. We are not part of a big chain or anything corporate. It is just a small business run by a few of us who know how to handle a pair of shears. The walls have a couple of posters showing different hair styles, but most of our customers just ask for the same thing every time they visit. We talk about the weather or the current price of fish while we work. That is just how things go in this part of town. Sometimes we stay open a little later than usual if someone walks in right as we are about to close up for the night. We do not like turning people away if they need help.
