Glamazon

Glamazon is on the ground floor at Ca-12, Rail Pukur Road in Deshbandhunagar. We are right opposite the Rail Pukur, which is a nice view to have. Being in the 700059 area of Kolkata, we get a mix of people coming in. It is a decent-sized space on the ground floor, so nobody has to climb stairs to get to us. I started this place because I wanted a shop of my own in this neighborhood. We do all sorts of beauty work, from hair styling to skin care. It’s not about being the fanciest place in town, just about being reliable. People come in after work or on their days off. The Rail Pukur Road can get quite busy, but it’s a good location for a business like this. I spend a lot of time cleaning up hair and keeping the products lined up. It’s just honest work. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. Most people find us because they live in Deshbandhunagar and saw the sign while walking by the water. Sometimes we have two or three people waiting, and they just chat with each other. It has a very local feel. I like being part of the neighborhood. We just take it day by day, making sure we do a good enough job that people want to come back. It’s a straightforward salon for regular folks.
