Gaints Salon

Gaints Salon is located at 23 Bag Bagbazar Street on the ground floor. It is right across from the Bagbazar Multi Purpose Girl school. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in from the street without climbing any stairs. The shop is not very large but we have enough space for a couple of chairs and some benches for people to wait. We have been here in North Kolkata for quite some time now. The street outside is usually busy with people going to work or students heading to the school nearby. Inside it is a bit quieter but you still hear the trams and the cars passing by. We don't have any fancy decorations or bright lights like the big shops in the malls. It is just a simple place where we cut hair and do shaves for the local men and children who live around Bagbazar. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from their jobs. We just take one person at a time and do the work. The mirrors are old and the fans make a bit of noise but they keep the air moving in the summer heat. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years and we know how they like their hair done without them even saying much. It is just a basic neighborhood shop for regular people who want a simple haircut.
