Feather Touch is over at 110 G on N.S.C Bose Road. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly deal with textiles and soft goods. The name suggests something light, and that’s the kind of stuff we like to handle. We have rolls of fabric and finished items stacked up in the back. It’s not a big, shiny showroom. It’s more of a place where we actually get things done. We spend our time checking quality and making sure everything feels the way it should. If a fabric is too rough, we don’t want it. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on this road, but we’ve managed to stick around by just being honest about what we sell. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe our products. They’re just good, usable items that people need for their homes. A lot of our day is spent talking to suppliers and checking on orders. It can be tiring, and sometimes the air is thick with lint, but it’s our life. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from answering the phone to hauling boxes. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide something decent to the people who stop by.
