Esi Hospital

This is the Esi Hospital out in Joka, right on Diamond Harbor Road. If you’ve traveled down this way, you’ve probably seen the building. It’s a large facility and we stay quite busy throughout the week. We handle a lot of people who are part of the insurance scheme. It’s a government-run kind of place, so it’s always got a lot of activity. You’ll see people waiting in the hallways and queues at the pharmacy window. We do our best to manage the crowd. It isn't a luxury hotel; it's a functioning hospital where people come for real medical problems. We have different wards for different issues. The location on Diamond Harbor Road makes it accessible for folks living in Joka and the surrounding outskirts. It’s a long commute for some, but they come because they need the care. The doctors here stay on their toes. We have a canteen and some outdoor space where families wait. It’s a bit noisy and sometimes the fans are the only thing keeping us cool during the summer. We don't have fancy brochures. People know why they are here. It’s about getting treated and going home to their families.
