Embassy Shoe Company is situated at 73 C, Narkeldanga Main Road. We have been operating from this location for many years now. Narkeldanga Main Road is a busy stretch, and there is always something happening right outside our door. The shop itself is a modest space. We don't have big glass windows or bright neon lights. It is just a practical place where we keep our shoes and handle our customers. The layout is simple, with shelves lining the walls. We do most of the work ourselves, from unpacking boxes to helping people find the right fit. It’s a very direct way of running a business. We aren't interested in being a big chain or having a polished corporate look. We just want to provide what we have to the people in the neighborhood. Some days it gets quite dusty because of the traffic on the main road, but we just keep things as clean as we can. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over time, but our spot at 73 C has stayed pretty much the same. We like the familiarity of it. Most of the people who come in are locals who have known us for a long time. We don't do much in terms of advertising; we just stay open and wait for people to drop by. It is a quiet way to run a business, and it suits us just fine.
