Electrosteel Castings Ltd.

We’re located at 40 Stephen House, over in B. D. D. Baug. It’s on the east side of the area. The building has a lot of character, though it’s definitely showing its age in some spots like the hallways. We work with iron and steel castings, so things are pretty industrial around here. The office is where we handle the logistics and the technical drawings for different projects. It’s usually a bit of a mess with blueprints spread out on every available surface and coffee mugs everywhere. We don’t really have a lobby for visitors; you just kind of walk in and find someone at a desk. Most of us have been in this industry for a long time, so we know the routine. It’s not a high-tech environment. We use old fans to keep cool and the desks are heavy wood that's been here for decades. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with the foundries or checking on shipping dates to make sure things are on track. The neighborhood is full of offices like ours, all doing their own thing. Sometimes we grab lunch at the stalls nearby and talk about the day’s work or the heat. It’s a steady job with a lot of history behind it. We aren't trying to change the world; we just make sure the pipes and castings are delivered where they are supposed to go. It’s just regular work for regular people.
