Eastern Minerals & Trading Agency

Our office for Eastern Minerals & Trading Agency is located at 209, Bando House. It is an old building on Ganesh Chandra Avenue, which is a street that has seen a lot of history in this city. Being in room 209 means we have a bit of a view of the street below if we look out the window. We deal with minerals and trading, which basically means a lot of paperwork and tracking shipments. The walls are lined with files that have been there for years. We use old metal desks that have a few scratches on them, but they do the job just fine. Ganesh Chandra Avenue is always crowded with cars and people selling things, so there is always something to look at. We usually start the day with a cup of tea and a look at the latest trade news. It is not the kind of work that looks exciting from the outside, but it keeps us busy from nine to five. We talk to people in the mining industry and handle the logistics of moving materials from one place to another. It involves a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers match up. We have a small staff and we have all worked together for a long time. There is a sense of routine here that we all like. We just focus on the trading and let the day-to-day business take care of itself. We are just regular people doing our jobs.
