We are located on AJC Bose Road in Kolkata. Our office is specifically in Block 6A, room 206. If you know the area, you know it is always busy with people and cars. Mclanahan India is what we call ourselves. We handle a lot of the heavy machinery side of things, specifically for mining and minerals. It is not the kind of job where you wear a suit every day. Most of the time we are either here on the phone coordinating things or out at a site somewhere looking at equipment. The building we are in is decent, but it feels like a real place of work, not some fancy glass tower. We have a small team here. We deal with lots of spare parts and technical drawings. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. It’s a bit cramped with all the paperwork we keep, but we know where everything is. We have been operating from this AJC Bose Road spot for a while now. It is a good central location for us. People drop by sometimes to talk about projects, and we just sit down and go through the details. It is a very hands-on kind of business and we like to keep it that way without too much fuss. There’s always someone in the office from nine until about six in the evening.
