Dutta Ghosh & Co. is over at Plot No. 57 on Nirmal Chandra Dey Street. If you know where Hind Cinema is, we are very close to that. It’s an old part of town and the streets are always full of life. We have been operating out of this same spot for a long time. Our business is mostly about trade and dealing with various supplies. The building is an older one, and it has a lot of character, though it shows its age in some places. We have shelves and stacks of things everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren’t used to it. We know where everything is, though. Customers come in and we usually have a chat while we pull their orders together. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, nothing like those big modern stores. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing we are here. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for years. We try to keep things fair and just do our job without making a big deal out of it. The area near Hind Cinema gets crowded in the evenings, so we usually get our heavy lifting done earlier in the day. It’s a busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way.
