We are located at Plot No. 8 in Phase-2 of the Kasba Industrial Estate. Our place, Duroplast Furniture Systeams Pvt. Ltd., is right near the Ruby General Hospital, which is a big landmark around here. It’s a proper industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines and trucks moving things around. We make furniture here. It’s a big workshop with a small office area tucked into the front for the paperwork. There’s usually a bit of sawdust in the air and the smell of glue or paint, depending on what we are working on that day. It’s hard work, and we’re often on our feet for most of the shift. We don’t have a fancy showroom where everything is perfectly lit for pictures. If you come by, you’ll see the actual production happening on the floor. We’ve been in Kasba for a long time and we know most of the other business owners on this street. We mostly deal with bigger orders for offices and schools, so there’s always something being loaded onto a truck out back. It’s not a glamorous job, but we take pride in putting things together correctly. Sometimes we stay late into the evening to finish a big batch of desks or chairs. It’s just a group of us working with our hands to make sure the furniture is sturdy and does exactly what it’s supposed to do for the customers.
