We operate out of 25 A Camac Street. Being in such a busy part of the city means there is always a lot of energy around the building. Doyen Traders & Properties Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a good amount of time, and our office is full of old maps and property files. The elevator in this building can be a bit slow, so we often take the stairs if we’re in a rush. It’s a professional space but it’s definitely lived-in. There are folders everywhere and the desks are cluttered with notes and calculators. We spend most of our time talking to people about land and buildings, which means the phones are almost always ringing. It can get a bit loud when everyone is on a call at once. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan layouts; it’s just a regular office with solid walls and heavy desks. The view from the window is mostly of other office buildings and the traffic down on Camac Street. We usually grab lunch from one of the nearby stalls or bring something from home and eat while we work. It is a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We deal with real estate and trading, and that takes a lot of patience and paperwork. Every day is different, but the goal is always just to get the files cleared and the phones answered.
