Diya Boutique

The shop is right here at No. 17/F East Road Jadavpur Jadabpur. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by rolls of cloth and half-finished work. It gets a bit messy when we are busy, but that is how a workspace usually looks. Jadavpur is a noisy place, especially around the station area, but our little corner stays focused. We mostly handle things ourselves. Sometimes the tea lady comes by and that is our break. People walk in looking for something specific, and we try to see what we can do. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass walls or anything like that. Just a regular room with some machines and a lot of thread. We spend most of our mornings sorting through orders. The sun hits the front door around noon, and it gets quite warm inside. We have some regulars who live nearby and just pop in for a chat or to check on their stuff. It’s a quiet way to make a living. We don't really do much advertising. Most people find us because they live in Jadabpur or were walking down East Road. It's just a small boutique where we do our daily work. We keep the scrap fabric in bins under the table because there is never enough space. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to wait for the new stock to arrive. That's just how it goes here. We like the rhythm of the place.
