We are over here at Rani Shankari Lane in Kolkata, just near the 700026 area. It is a busy enough spot and we have been handling taxes and accounts for quite some time now. Digital Accountants Private Limited isn't a fancy name, it just describes what we do on our computers every day. Most of our mornings start with a lot of tea and then we get right into the spreadsheets. It can get a bit loud outside sometimes with the local traffic, but we keep our heads down and focus on the numbers people bring us. Nobody really likes doing their own paperwork, so that is where we step in to help out. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just a regular office space where we work through the piles of documents. It is just us and the ledger books mostly. Sometimes the internet is slow, but we manage to get the filings done eventually. People come by when they have a problem with their returns or when they just need someone to look over their books. We have been in this part of Kolkata for a bit, so we know the neighborhood well. It’s a straightforward job and we try to do it right without making things too complicated for anyone who walks through the door. We usually leave by the evening once the fans are turned off and the files are put away. It is just a normal day-to-day operation here.
