Designasia Boutique

Our place is in the Basundhara area, part of the Eastern side of town. It’s a bit of a walk from the main transport hubs, but it’s a nice area to be in. Designasia Boutique is just a regular shop where we keep our collection. We don't have a big staff, so most of the time it’s just one or two of us here. We spend the mornings sorting through fabrics and making sure everything is priced right. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the center of the city. We have some regular customers who live in the houses nearby and they often drop in for a chat. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to be careful about how much we buy at once. Sometimes the boxes take up too much room on the floor and we have to step over them. It’s a simple life, running a boutique in Basundhara. We like the pace of it. Not too much stress, just the daily tasks of folding, hanging, and talking to people. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else. It’s a steady kind of business. We’re here most days except for the occasional holiday or if something comes up. It feels like we belong here in this part of the city. We enjoy the routine and the neighbors.
