You can find us over at the Behala Industrial Estate, right off Diamond Harbour Road. Deepika Electronics & Engineering has been operating out of unit M/5 for a long time. It’s an industrial area, so it’s mostly warehouses and small factories around us. Inside, we have our workbenches and all the testing equipment set up. It smells like solder and old metal most days. We do a mix of things here, some electronic work and some basic engineering stuff that people bring to us. The lighting isn't the best, but we have those bright desk lamps for the detailed work. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of employees. We're just a small crew that knows how to fix things and put parts together. Often, we are covered in a bit of oil or dust by the time the day ends. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof in the corner, but we moved the equipment away from there. It's just a regular shop where we get things done. We don't spend much on decorating because we're mostly busy with the actual work. If someone needs a part looked at, they just drop it off and we take a look when we can. It’s a steady rhythm we have here. We like being in Behala.
