Our place, D. Manoharlal (Shellac) Pvt. Ltd., is over on Dr. Rajender Prasad Sarani, what people used to call Civil Row. We are up on the first floor in Room 24. It’s an old part of the city, and the building has that specific smell of old wood and paper. We’ve been dealing with shellac for a long time. It’s a specific kind of business, and it’s what we know best. The office is pretty traditional. There are old wooden cabinets full of files and some samples of different grades of shellac sitting on the shelves. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us answering the phone, checking on the stock, and making sure the orders go out to the right places. The street outside is always busy, but inside the room, it feels a bit like time stopped a few decades ago. We like it that way. It’s quiet enough to get the bookkeeping done. We aren't interested in making things look more complicated than they are. Shellac is a natural product, and we handle it without any fuss. Most of our customers have been with us for years, so they know exactly where to find us. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, focusing on the product itself and keeping our records straight. It is a simple way to run things that has worked for us.
