D Garodia And Co is tucked away at 14 Madan Chatterjee Lane. We are near the Ram Mandir in Girishpark, which is a very old and busy part of Kolkata. The lanes around here are quite narrow, so it is usually better to walk or take a rickshaw than to try and bring a car. The building we are in has been around for a long time and has those thick walls and high ceilings you don't see much anymore. Our office is on one of the middle floors. It gets a bit dusty with all the people moving around outside, but we manage to keep our workspace in order. Working in such a historic area is interesting because you see the same vendors and neighbors every single day. I usually go to the corner shop for a quick snack in the afternoon. We have been running things from this address for many years now. It is not a modern office with glass partitions. We just have sturdy wooden desks and lots of shelves for our files. Sometimes the hallway light flickers a bit, but it doesn't bother us much. People stop by to drop off their things or just to check on their work. We don't do any marketing because the location is well-known enough. It is just where we go to do our job.
