Cuts

Our shop is called Cuts and we are over at Ca-9, Rail Pukur Road in Baguihati. If you’re looking for us, we are right near Arambagh Chicken. Most people know that spot, so it makes finding our small shop a bit easier. The road outside can get a bit narrow and crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is out buying groceries. We keep things very simple inside. There are just the basic chairs and the usual tools we need for our work. We don't have any fancy decorations or complicated systems. We just open up, sweep the floor, and get ready for whoever comes in. Usually, it's people from the nearby houses or kids from the local school. We’ve seen many of them grow up over the years. Being near Rail Pukur Road means we are right in the middle of everything in Baguihati. The noise of the autos and the vegetable sellers is just part of our daily life. Sometimes we stand near the door just to get some fresh air when it isn't too humid. We handle our own cleaning and manage the supplies ourselves. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. No one here is trying to be anything other than what they are. We just do the job, talk to the customers about their day, and close up when the sun goes down. It is a very normal part of the local neighborhood life here in Kolkata for all of us.
