Cuts & Beauty is a small shop located at C A 9 on Rail Pukur Road. This part of Kolkata 700059 is usually bustling with people going about their daily business. The shop isn't very large, but it fits everything we need to do our work properly. We have a couple of chairs for the customers and a small bench for those waiting their turn. Rail Pukur Road can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters and cleaning the glass. The shop is pretty simple. We have the basic tools like clippers, scissors, and a few different types of combs for various hair types. It’s a place where you can come in, sit down, and get your hair cut without a lot of fuss or talking if you don't feel like it. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that on the walls. They have a few posters and that’s about it. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding buildings or folks passing through 700059. It’s a bit of a noisy area with the traffic, but once you are inside, it’s just the sound of the equipment running. We started this place because we knew the area and wanted to work close to home. It’s an honest way to make a living. We see the same faces every month, which is nice. It makes the shop feel like a real part of the neighborhood.
