If you know Shahdara, you know how loud G. T. Road can get. That’s exactly where we are at 1/560. Crystal Clear Video Pvt. Ltd. has been here long enough that we don't even hear the horns anymore. Our space is filled with all kinds of video equipment—tripods leaning against the walls, cameras in their bags, and lights everywhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a full crew in here. We spend a lot of hours in the dark editing rooms, staring at playback screens until our eyes get tired. The building is one of those older ones on the main road, so it’s got a bit of character, or at least that's what we call the cracks in the plaster. We do a lot of different video work, mostly whatever people need. Sometimes it’s weddings, sometimes it’s small local ads. We aren't some big movie studio; it’s just a practical workshop for video. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. The tea man brings us glasses of hot chai twice a day, which helps us keep going during the long edits. There’s always dust coming in from the road, so we’re constantly wiping down the lenses. It’s a lot of work and sometimes the deadlines are tight, but it’s what we do. We just keep the cameras rolling and try to get the best shots we can.
