Cosmos Electronics & Electric

Our shop is tucked away at 2/A/2, Gopi Mohan Dutta Lane. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to be careful how you walk if a scooter is coming through. Cosmos Electronics & Electric isn't a huge store, but we pack a lot into the space we have. The shelves are full of wires, switches, bulbs, and all sorts of electrical parts. It smells like copper and plastic in here most of the time. We spend a lot of time testing things and trying to help people figure out why their lights aren't working. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. People from the neighborhood come in for a single fuse or a few meters of wire. We know most of the faces that walk in. Gopi Mohan Dutta Lane is a busy little place, and there’s always some kind of noise from the street outside. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, boxes tend to pile up on the floor. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We don't really do anything fancy; we just sell the parts people need and try to give honest answers when they ask questions. It’s been our spot for a while now, and we’re used to the quirks of the building. We just turn the lights on in the morning and see who needs help. It's not a glamorous life, but it's what we know.
