Classic Gents Saloon

This is a gents saloon located in the Jhilpara area of Hatiara. We are right on Hatiara Road in Kolkata 700157. It is a typical local barbershop where men from the neighborhood come to get a quick shave or a haircut. We have the old-style chairs and mirrors that have been here for a bit. The area is quite busy with rickshaws and people moving about all day long. We open up the shutters early in the morning because that is when the office-goers like to get their grooming done. It is a simple setup. We use regular scissors and clippers. There is usually a newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait their turn. We don't really do anything very modern, just the classic cuts that most men around here prefer. The shop is small, so you might have to wait on the bench outside if it is a Sunday morning. Hatiara is a growing place, so we see new faces every now and then, but mostly it is the same group of guys. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who have been cutting hair for years. It is honest work and we enjoy the conversations we have with the customers about football or the local news. The location is easy to find if you just follow Hatiara Road toward Jhilpara. Most people know us by now. We don't use a phone for bookings, we just take people as they come.
