Chhotelal Saloon

Chhotelal Saloon is located in the Purba Para area of Hatiara. If you are around this part of Kolkata, you might have seen us near the local market. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the big main roads. We have been working here for quite a while, serving the people who live in the 700157 zip code. The shop is small and we like to keep things simple. There are only a couple of chairs and some basic tools that we use every day. We mostly do haircuts and shaves for the men who live nearby. Sometimes kids come in with their fathers on the weekends. It can get a bit crowded on Sunday mornings because everyone wants to look sharp for the coming week. We do not have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that spins pretty fast. It keeps the place cool enough even in the summer heat. The floor is made of tiles and we make sure to sweep it after every single customer leaves. We do not use any fancy or expensive products, just the usual soaps and creams you find in any local shop. Our regulars know us very well. They come in and sit down and we already know exactly how they like their hair cut. It is a friendly place. Not much to look at from the outside, but we do the work properly. We take our time with each person so they feel alright.
