Temple Tower is a place most people around Anna Salai know fairly well. We are located at number 672, in the Nandanam area, as part of Central Cottage Industries Corporation Of India Limited. It’s a tall building and we have quite a bit of room inside to store all the different items we handle. Most of the things here are made by hand and come from all over the country. It doesn’t feel like a flashy new mall; it has more of an old-school atmosphere that we really like. The staff has been around for years, so we know exactly where every crate and parcel is kept. Our days are mostly spent unpacking new arrivals, checking that everything is in good shape, and getting things onto the shelves. We don't really do the big corporate talk or have meetings about missions. We just manage the stock and talk to the people who wander in to see the crafts. Outside, the traffic on the main road is constant and noisy, but it’s a different world once you step into the tower. We see a lot of faces throughout the day, from regulars to people just passing through. It’s a steady way to work, and being in Nandanam means we are right in the heart of the city's daily grind. We’ve been here a long time and plan to stay for many more years to come.
