Our agency is based in Unit 9D on the 9th floor of 28 B Shakespeare Sarani. A lot of the locals still call it Theatre Road, and it’s right in the 700017 section of Kolkata. Being up on the 9th floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street level, though you can still hear the horns honking down there. We deal with various property and agency matters. It is a lot of desk work combined with meeting people at different locations. The office is a bit plain, but it works for what we need. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just help people get their leases sorted or find a new spot for their business. Some days the lift is crowded and it takes a while to get up here, but the view of the city roofs is okay. We have a small group of people working here who have lived in Kolkata most of their lives. We know which neighborhoods are quiet and which ones are going to be loud on the weekends. We don't spend money on big posters. People usually find us because they were told we could help them out. It’s just a normal office where we try to get the jobs done properly every day and keep our files in some kind of order.
