Gk Jewellers

Gk Jewellers is located at 651 Burtalla Street. It’s a fairly old part of the city, and the street reflects that history. The building we are in has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough for us. We occupy a small section on the ground floor. It’s easy to find if you know the street numbers, but the signs around here are a bit small and faded. We have a couple of display cases that we light up in the morning when we open. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when it’s warm outside. We don’t have many employees, just a couple of us who take turns being at the counter and helping anyone who walks in. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and organizing the stock in the back. Burtalla Street can be quite narrow, so parking is always a bit of a challenge for anyone visiting by car. Most people just walk over from the nearby main roads or take a cycle rickshaw. We have a small back room where we keep the extra supplies and a small kettle for making coffee in the afternoon. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles or fancy computers. We just focus on getting the work done. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so we all know each other’s names and families. It is a good community to be a part of.
