We have been at 12 Mayfair Road for quite a while now. Flat 4B in Block B is where we keep our files and handle the day-to-day paperwork for our property dealings here in Kolkata. It is a quiet spot, really. Mostly, we just deal with the local real estate market, trying to keep things moving. We are not a big flashy outfit with fancy glass offices or anything like that. It is just a few of us working from this flat. People sometimes ask what we do exactly, and it is mostly about managing properties and making sure the legal bits are sorted out for whoever we are working with at the time. The 700019 area is familiar to us, we know the streets around here pretty well. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites, checking on things. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, but we make it work. It is not a complicated setup. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Kolkata is a busy place to do property business, but we manage to stay on top of our specific tasks. If you come by the office, you will probably see stacks of papers and maybe a cup of tea on someone's desk. That is just how it is here. No big corporate meetings, just regular work.
