Bp Poddar Hospital

We are located at 71/1 Humayun Kabir Sarani in New Alipore, specifically in Block B. The hospital building has been a fixture in this part of South Kolkata for a good number of years. It’s a busy corner of the city, and there is always a lot of movement outside with rickshaws and cars passing by. Inside the hospital, the atmosphere is quite different from the street. It’s filled with the sound of footsteps on the corridors and the low hum of the air conditioning. We have different floors for different wards, and the elevators stay pretty busy moving people up and down all day long. The staff here is used to the long hours and the constant flow of visitors coming to see their relatives. We have a canteen downstairs that gets quite crowded during lunch hours, mostly with family members taking a break. The lobby area has several rows of seating, and there is always someone sitting there waiting for news or an appointment. It’s a large building, so new people sometimes get a bit lost looking for specific departments, but someone is usually around to point them the right way. We don't go for anything fancy in terms of decor; it’s all very functional and built for heavy use. Every day is a bit different depending on who comes through the doors, but the routine of the hospital stays the same.
