Boutique Elegance

This shop is tucked away in Flat 5c of the Sumon Apartments. We are at 60/2 Lake Road, which is a busy enough street if you’re walking outside, but up here in the apartment, it stays quite a bit calmer. Being in a flat means it’s not like a big storefront on the main road. You have to come into the building and find us on the fifth floor. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but we’re usually here from morning till evening. The space is filled with whatever we’re working on at the time. Sometimes there are piles of cloth on the chairs or strings on the floor. It feels more like a home than a business, which I guess is because it’s in an apartment building. Lake Road has a lot of people moving around, especially in the afternoons. We can hear the cars and the people downstairs if we open the windows. Most of our visitors are people who live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of time just organizing the racks and making sure the light is good enough to see the colors clearly. It’s just a small operation we run here. Not much to look at from the outside, but we keep things moving inside. It’s a nice enough place to spend the day working. We keep it simple.
