You can find our office on the 4th floor of Sikkim House at 4/1 Middleton Street. It’s a decent building in the 700071 part of Kolkata. We have been working out of this space for a good while now. The street outside is almost always full of cars and people heading to work. We spend our time looking into property listings and talking to landlords around the city. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. We don't have a massive team with fancy titles. It’s just a handful of us who know the local area well. Sometimes we are out all day visiting different sites to see what condition they are in. You have to check the wiring and the water pipes yourself if you want to be sure. The paperwork can be a bit of a drag, but someone has to do it. We try to keep things straightforward for the people who come to us. We don’t use any complex jargon or big sales talk. If a place is good, we say so, and if it has problems, we mention those too. It is just a practical way to deal with real estate. Most of our day involves drinking tea and checking the local listings to see what’s new on the market. It’s a steady job in a busy city and we just take it one day at a time.
