Bhagwati International

Our office is located at No. 22 Strand Road. It is an old building and we are up on the 2nd Floor. Being near BBD Bagh means there is a lot of history and old architecture all around us. The stairs are made of heavy wood and they creak a bit when you walk up to the second floor. Strand Road is always full of trucks and people moving goods around. You can hear the bustle of the city through the windows of Bhagwati International all day long. The ceilings are high which is nice, but it makes the room feel a bit echoey. We have some old filing cabinets and a few heavy desks that have been here for years. It is not a modern-designed office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical place to work in a busy part of Kolkata. Sometimes the mail takes a while to reach us because the building is so big and confusing for some. We keep a pot of tea going in the afternoons. The view from the 2nd floor shows the tops of the vehicles and the people rushing to catch the bus. It is a very grounded place. We do our paperwork and handle our phone calls without much fuss. If you are looking for us, just look for No. 22 and head up the stairs. It is a simple setup in a very busy neighborhood.
