Samriddhis Boutique

Our little place, Samriddhis Boutique, is over at 30/6 Arya Samity Road in the Behala area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but that makes it quieter for us to work. We’ve got rolls of cloth stacked in the corners and threads of every color imaginable hanging from hooks on the wall. The building is old, so the windows rattle whenever a heavy truck passes by on the street. I spend most of my day at the cutting table, which is actually an old dining table we repurposed years ago. It’s got a good height for my back. We don't have a fancy display window with mannequins; we usually just hang a few finished pieces on the door so people know what we’re up to. The lighting in Behala can be a bit temperamental, so we have a few battery lamps ready just in case. Most of our visitors are ladies from the neighborhood who stop in to talk about their families while we take their measurements. It’s a friendly atmosphere, and we don't feel the need to rush things. If a job takes an extra day because we wanted to get the hem just right, our customers usually understand. We aren't trying to grow into a massive brand. We just like the work we do here on Arya Samity Road and hope to keep doing it for a long time.
