Beauty Spot

Beauty Spot is down at 7, U K Dutta Road in Dum Dum. We are very near the Dumdum Girls School, which is a major landmark in this area. The shop is a small space, but it serves the purpose. We have been in Dum Dum for a good number of years. The street outside, U K Dutta Road, is usually filled with students and parents during the day. It makes the area feel very safe and active. I open the shop every morning and set things up for the day. The mirrors are lined up along one wall. We have a few shelves with basic supplies like combs, creams, and scissors. It is not a luxury place, just a simple spot for people to get their hair done or get a quick grooming service. Because we are near the school, we see a lot of the local families. The atmosphere is very casual. We don't have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and see who is available. Sometimes there is a wait, especially on Saturday afternoons. The fans hum away to keep the heat down. Kolkata summers are no joke, so we do our best to keep things comfortable. It is just a regular life here, cutting hair and talking to the neighbors about what is happening in Dum Dum lately.
